  • 1. Is there a contract?

  • 2. How do I sign up for Endeavour InfoTech?
    Getting started is very easy. If you decide to use our services, we will gather and analyze all the required information and help you select the package that suits you. Typically within 48 hours we will e-mail you all the information you need, including user ID, password and instructions on how to use our dictation systems . With this you are fully equipped and ready to start using our services.
  • 3. How long does it take until Endeavour InfoTech can service my account?
    We can usually start accepting dictations within one working day from opening your account.
:: Hardware and Operating System Requirements
  • 1. What kind of hardware and software is needed?
    You will need a computer with Windows 98 or higher operating system with Microsoft Word and Internet Explorer 5.5 version and above. You will also need broadband Internet connection for faster uploading of dictations when using handheld recorders.

  • 1. What size facilities can Endeavour InfoTech support?
    We provide medical transcription services to a wide range of practices and organizations, from single physician offices and small clinics through physician groups and large hospitals. There is no minimum number of doctors required to sign up for our services. Our services also scale well for large organizations.
  • 2. Can Endeavour InfoTech provide partial medical transcription support?
    Yes. In fact, we encourage any physician group or facility to consider using us as a back up to an existing service or for overflow activity resulting from vacation, illness, or shortage of staff. Ours is an excellent solution to balance your staffing needs. Of course, we can also provide a full medical transcription solution; the choice is entirely yours.

  • 1. Can our physicians dictate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week?
    Absolutely! You may record via a digital recorder or over the phone at any time, 365 days/year.
  • 2. How ACCESSIBLE are my documents?
    Your documents are available online 24/7/365.3. What are your working hours?
    Our trained Medical Transcriptionist provide services 24/7/365 days.
:: Procedure
  • 1. How do we transfer the dictation to you?
    If you intend to use toll free dial-in systems, your dictations become accessible to our transcriptionists the moment you hang up the line. If you prefer using handheld recorders, we will provide our medical transcription software-“Transcription Manager” which uploads the dictation from your local computer to our secure servers.
  • 2. Do you have a solution if I have multiple locations?
    Yes. Our digital system can accommodate multiple locations as well as multiple physicians and administrators under one account. Billing may be consolidated on one account.
  • 3. Can multiple physicians share a digital recorder for Dictation?
    Yes, multiple physicians can share a single device. Endeavour InfoTech, however, generally recommends using different smart card (memory cards) for each physician to keep better track of the voice files.
:: Medical Transcription Reports
  • 1. What format are the transcribed files?
    Reports are returned in Microsoft Word format files, making them editable and searchable.
  • 2. How is work formatted?
    Any way you like. Provide us with your specifications & guidelines, and we will create a template in your file along with any other information you deem beneficial.
  • 3. Can I use my own letterhead and have the reports printed from the web?
    Yes, we would require your template in that case. Only the text transcribed will be billed and not the template.
  • 4. Can you use my normals?
    We will be happy to incorporate any normals or canned phrases you may routinely use in your dictation.
:: Transcription Turnaround
  • 1. What Turnaround times do you offer?
    We give you a facility of next day reporting (practically 12 hour turnaround time while charging for 24 hour turnaround time), for example, you will get back the reports at 9.00 am irrespective of the time you dictated them the previous day, from 9.00 am to 9.00 pm. You can also select turnaround times to meet your needs – 48 hour, 24 hour, 4 hour and 2 hours. You may choose different default turnaround times by report type or you can specify that with each report.
  • 2. Do you take up STAT work?
    Yes, four hour priority service is available at an additional cost.
  • 3. What if I dictate over the weekend?
    We have transcriptionists working 7 days a week. The turnaround time also applies to weekend dictations.

  • 1. What are the Endeavour InfoTech pricing options?
    Our medical transcription service offers two pricing options for customers – fixed, monthly billings or traditional cost per line. Please refer “Pricing” section for more and latest details.
  • 2. What is the definition of line?
    A line is defined as 65 characters, including spaces and special characters.
  • 3. Why other pricing methods are not used?
    Less popular pricing methods that we do not offer include per page, per report, and minutes of dictation. The per page and per report pricing methods suffer from the variability introduced when text font size is changed and when margin sizes are changed. The minutes of dictation method is also imprecise because different individuals dictate at different rates. A rapid speaker would cram more dictation into fewer minutes, but report accuracy could suffer as a result.
  • 4. Can we know how much bill we are running?
    Yes, just login into our web based software and go to the current billing statement and you will see a summary of billing for the current month. Here, you may also check for individual doctor or entire group billing statement for any past months.5. Is the line counting software used by Endeavour InfoTech available to clients?

    No, there is no set up fee.

    Absolutely. We provide thorough training to all those involved in using our software and medical transcription services. Basically our software is very user friendly and one hour is all what it takes for even a person with little or no knowledge in the use of computers. We are here to train you for smooth transition. We can also help if you have any difficulties setting up your digital recorder. We are a service oriented organization and we want our medical transcription service to be extremely easy and trouble free for our clients.
